What problem does your business address?

We found that recruiting talent is the number one concern of startups. Startups spend an enormous amount of time recruiting talents which drives them away from their main focus, that is growing their business. Finding tech talents is particularly tough, considering the high cost of qualified talents and the lack of supply.

What solution do you bring to this issue?

We started Remoteplatz to create an effective alternative for startups and modern business, enabling them to access talents and skill sets that are not represented in their area, and saving up to 70% of their IT costs.

Remoteplatz is a community of remote software engineers. We connect US & EU startups to the top 5% Egyptian software engineers and take care of the hiring process, the invoicing, the office accommodation, and more. We provide Egyptian software developers a complete set of different opportunities. There is a clear shortage in tech talent in the US, Germany and Switzerland. There are 5 engineering jobs to every 1 software engineer in the US, Germany and Switzerland is not much different. Hence, hiring engineers became hard and is a time-consuming and expensive process that can take up to 3-6 months and hiring fees of up to 23K$. On the other hand software developers in Africa and especially Egypt have limited opportunities as the startup ecosystem in Egypt is still emerging and is not as developed. We enable them to make 50-100% more than what they would have earned working for a local tech company, that includes IBM and Microsoft subsidiaries in Egypt. Our vision is to build the largest and best remote software development community in Africa. We envision a world where entrepreneurs can easily access and hire the most qualified talents wherever they are.
