Changemakers Village is a hub to train and equip promising young Liberians with the technological and entrepreneurial skills, tools, and networking opportunities to create jobs and wide-scale social change in their communities. CV has four areas: Technology for Social Impact, Employment Accelerator, Education Advancement and Girls Entrepreneurship and Technology Program. The Tech for Social Impact track aims to train young Liberians programming and development skills to build applications that solve real problems while creating jobs. The Employment Accelerator aims to train college seniors and recent graduates through high impact, on-demand skills based courses and develop an online job portal to match them with companies across Liberia. The Education Advancement track prepares top performing high school students with demonstrated service to community for quality educational opportunities online and/or overseas. Girls Entrepreneurship and Technology Program aims to empower young girls and women and promote innovation and fighting extreme poverty through entrepreneurship and technology usage by focusing on business development trainings and foundational technology courses. Around the world, environments like this have created substantial, transformative impact. Silicon Valley, African Leadership Academy, Co-Create Hub Nigeria, Ashesi University – just to name a few. Our experience working in Liberia over the last five years has also shown us that this new model will drive change across Liberia.
